About the event
SEMI-PRO & PRO CLUB RACE – FKI-RACING CHAMPIONSHIP – Wednesday evening
The Semi-Pro & Pro club races on Wednesday evenings are intended for drivers with racing experience who want to compete against other strong drivers within the FKI-Racing Championship.
These club races take place on the indoor and outdoor track of First Kart ’Inn, where speed, technique, race insight and close wheel-to-wheel racing take center stage.
Drivers must be comfortable racing in a fast group and familiar with defending their position correctly, overtaking safely and racing among other experienced drivers.
Drivers must have sufficient driving skills and full knowledge of flags and safety rules.Terms such as racing line, slipstream, defending position and late braking should be familiar.
Drivers who still lack sufficient racing experience are advised to first join the Rookie & Amateur club races on Saturday evening.
To keep the level safe and sporty, the organization may immediately remove any driver from the track in case of unsafe, unpredictable or obstructive driving.
Race information
Kart: Sodi SR5 – 270 cc
Track: Indoor & outdoor track – The outdoor section is used in all weather conditions. Rain suit and extra dry clothing are recommended in rainy weather.
Driving direction: determined on race day.
Weight: Minimum weight 85 kg (additional ballast available up to 30 kg per kart)
Race level: Semi-Pro / Pro
Junior drivers: Junior drivers are only admitted if they have sufficient experience, can safely drive the adult karts and meet the required level.
SWS points: For registered SWS drivers
Race format
Individual sprint races:
2 × 25 minutes per driver
Each sprint race is driven with a different kart.
Qualifying:
2 × 5 minutes
Starting grid:
Race 1 starts according to the first qualifying result.
Race 2 starts according to the second qualifying result.
Start procedure:
F1-style start
Strategic elements:
Shortcut: 1 × per sprint, free to use.
Pitstop: 1 × per sprint mandatory.
Schedule
7:30 PM – Arrival at the latest
7:45 PM – Group division & kart draw
8:00 PM – Briefing
The race programme starts afterwards.
The schedule depends on the number of participating drivers and the group division. With more participants, several groups and therefore several heats will be driven. Each driver always drives 2 heats, each consisting of 5 minutes of qualifying and 25 minutes of racing.
